DDtrac allows
behavior goals to be defined and specific
behaviors and
triggers to be tracked for individual students. The behavior goals are written to define behavior patterns that are being changed and the actions that are being taken to reduce them. The
behaviors and
triggers that are being tracked for the particular student can be selected from a list or new behaviors and triggers can be specified based on the student's unique characteristics (e.g. the student exhibits negative behaviors when they see a brown car).
Behavior tracking is driven by two factors. First, it is necessary to track behavior episodes to determine if the interventions currently being tried are reducing problem behaviors. Second, if a behavior episode results in an injury to a child or a staff there are certain reporting requirements that must be met to comply with legal requirements.
See the following pages to learn how to define the behaviors and triggers being tracked for a particular student and how to create long term behavior goals:
- Create New Behavior Goals: Create behavior goals for your student and specify the behaviors and triggers you are tracking for him or her.
- Edit Behavior Goals: Alter the goal, add an action plan or files.
- Advanced Behavior Goal Edit: Allows users to
copy behavior goals, behaviors and triggers either to the current student or
to any other student they have edit permission for. It also allows the
user to delete goals, behaviors and triggers or merge individual behaviors and triggers.
